Welcome to Medicine Lake! 

Harty's Boatworks has been renting boats on Medicine Lake since the mid 1960's. Our success is because our customer have a good time and come back year after year. With the help of our customer, we're able to maintain a quality rental fleet. Before you rent a boat from us, please read the following guidelines.

Renters must be at least 25 years old, have valid I.D., a major credit card, and boating experience. Responsible use of alcoholic beverages is required. If it's illegal off the water, it's illegal on the water. This include illegal drug use. Violations can constitute law enforcement by and not limited to the Sheriff's Water Patrol, Minnesota D.N.R. or the Plymouth Police Department.

Cargo Restrictions: No pets, barbeques, kayaks, paddle boards or kegs. Towing of tubes, water skiers, swimmers, or anything else including other boats is not allowed. The rental boats are solely for the purpose of recreational boating, responsible operation is required. The rental boat must be returned in good clean condition. Extra cleaning may result in loss of deposit.

Fees and Deposits: Deposit amount is $100.00 and will be collected at time of reservation. Credit card payment can be used for deposit. Full rental fee is due at arrival time. We accept cash, major credit cards, travelers checks, personal checks on approval.

Refunds & Cancellations: Cancellations are required 48 hours in advance, if not, loss of deposit may result. Please arrive a minimum of 15 minutes before departure, no discounts for late arrivals, no refunds for returning early, unless weather conditions dictate otherwise. Attention to the rental times is required, late returnees will be subject to additional rental fees and/or loss of deposit.

Parking: A maximum of 2 vehicles per boat is allowed. Overflow parking is available nearby. Timely removal of vehicles after boating is sometimes needed.
